‘Rupinder Gandhi – The Gangster..?’ – Trailer and poster of Punjabi Movie unveiled

Chandigarh : You call it a biography, you call it a drama, call it an action movie or simply call it a question to the audience. Upcoming Punjabi film ‘Rupinder Gandhi – The Gangster..?’ may raise many eyebrows but with different perceptions.That is what the USP of the film is. Ready to be released on 11th September, the film is based on the life of Sarpanch Rupinder Singh Gandhi from Khanna (Punjab) who was a prolific sportsman and a daring leader who sacrificed his own dreams for weak and downtrodden. On Monday, the trailer and the poster of the film were unveiled at PVR, Elante Mall where the star cast of the film showed up.Directed by young director Tarn Mann and produced by Daljit Singh Bola, Ravneet Chahal and Taranvir Singh under the banner of Dream Reality Movies. The film stars Dev Khroud, Kul Sidhu, along with Binnu Dhillon, singers Veet Baljit and Nishawn Bhullar, were present to grace this occasion and interacted about the project. The actors did not tell much about their characters but their excitement about the film would drive it to the audiences’ hearts.Binnu Dhillon said, “You may just judge it as an action film from the trailer, but believe me, it has much more to offer. The film is visually very strong.” Director Tarn Mann is someone who is connected to film making since very long. The director is young and driven towards making quality cinema. He said, “This is youth’s film. Each youngster sitting in the audience can relate to it and decide his good or bad. As the title has a question mark, I have literally left it to the audience to judge the main character of the film. They may call him protagonist or the antagonist, as they may like.”Producer Daljit Singh Bola said that the film is a conscious effort towards changing the definition of Punjabi cinema. We equally love the comedy flicks but as entertainers we take it as our duty to give a new direction to our industry. I hope this film will open new doors of creativity.People know Veet Baljit as an amazing song writer and seeing him as an actor would be a delight. Veet said that he is all excited about this film and looking forward to a new start. Nishawn Bhullar will also be seen playing an important character in the film and he believes he has got the best team to work with.
