AAP’s “Broom” is shown as election symbol for Independent Candidates in Jalandhar

JALANDHAR :  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today registered their protest on showing its election symbol “Broom” in the list available symbols for Independent Candidates in Jalandhar. “AAP is a registered party with Election Commission of India (ECI) with its registered symbol “Broom” and by putting the symbol in the list of available symbols for independent candidates is nothing else but an attempt to misguide the voters of Punjab”, one of the prominent AAP volunteer said.It all happened, when AAP candidate from Jalandhar (Central) assembly segment went to file his nomination papers and suddenly some of the party workers found AAP symbol “Broom” in the list of available symbol for independent candidates.“We are going to rake up the issue with an appropriate authorities as it is an attempt to befool the voters by adopting such tactics”, AAP leaders said.
