Already briefed Congress president about ground realities in Punjab: Capt Amarinder

CHANDIGARH: Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder today said, the party high command was well aware of the ground realities in Punjab as he had already briefed the Congress president Ms Sonia Gandhi during his meeting recently. Besides, he added, he had later provided her with a comprehensive feedback in a letter also.
Reacting to reports published in a section of media attributed to the Congress general secretary and in charge of Punjab, Shakeel Ahmad, saying he had called for the reports about ground activity, Capt Amarinder said, he (Mr Ahmad) was welcome to get the feedback from him (Capt Amarinder) lest he got inaccurate information.
“Ground realities cannot be changed or camouflaged no matter how desperately someone tries”, he clarified, while asserting, “and the ground reality is that Congress rank and file is unanimous and united in its resolve and has already resolved to get rid of the corrupt Akali-BJP alliance and have already started working towards that end”.
