Amarpreet Singh Lalli elected President Punjab Youth Congress

CHANDIGARH: Amarpreet Singh Lalli of Hoshiarpur has been elected President of Punjab Youth Congress by securing highest votes in the direct elections conducted at the instance of AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi who chose Punjab as pilot state to revbive internal democracy in the party. He was polled 4447 votes against his nearest rival Kulbir Singh Zira who got 2625 votes.
The other aspirants have Khushbaz Jatana, Depinder Randhawa, Daman Kaur Bajwa and Poonam have got 1222m527,377 and 220 votes respectively. Lalli understood to ahve support of former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh while PPCC President Partap Singh Bajwa was supporting Zira who is son of former minister Inderjit Singh Zira.
