BADAL HAS FALLEN BACK ON PANTHIC AGENDA: AMARINDER

Muktsar : Congress Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh today said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has fallen back on ‘panthic’ agenda after failing on the economic and law and order front.”The choice is between economic progress and development on one side and the panthic agenda on the other,” Capt Amarinder said while addressing workers meeting here today.The former chief minister challenged Badal to list a single achievement he could claim credit for.”Be it the wheat procurement, he (Badal) has failed. Be it law and order, he has failed. Be it economy, he has failed.Be it industry, he has failed. Be it agriculture, he has failed,” he said.He alleged the only thing he had succeeded at was amassing personal wealth and fortune.The Congress leader also raised questions about the amount of Rs 2200 crore which was provided by the Centre for water-logging in the area.He said, similarly, there was no trace of Rs 14,640 crore cash credit limit sanctioned and released by the RBI for the procurement of wheat.”The amount was sanctioned on April 1 and the farmers are yet to get the payment although 46 days have already passed,” he said, while recalling that during his (Capt Amarinder’s) chief ministership the farmers would get payment for their crops within 24 hours. .
