Badals have not been able to satisfy own MLAs, what to talk of masses: Amarinder

ISSRU (LUDHIANA), August 16: Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh said on Saturday that when the Badals had not been able to satisfy their own party MLAs what to talk of the common man.Addressing a largely attended public rally organised by the local MLA Gurkirat Singh Kotli in memory of Shaheed Karnail Singh Issru here yesterday, Capt Amarinder said, “now it is not the Congress MLAs or leaders who are levelling allegations of discrimination, even the Akali MLAs have started staging dharnas against the Badal government”.He had a dig at the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal for accusing him of spreading rumours about resentment among the Akali MLAs. “Akali MLAs have been openly accusing Badals of discrimination what more proof does Badal want?” he asked.Congratulating Kotli for the impressive show which outnumbered the other political conferences including those of the Akalis, Capt Amarinder said, this was reflective of the widespread resentment prevailing among the masses against the Akalis.  He said, Punjab had never seen such a bad government that had failed all sections of the society. He observed that the resentment was natural to grow as the Badals had kept everything to themselves. He said, it was the Badal gang consisting of close relations only, which had grabbed everything be it sand mining, liquor business, transport or cable network. He wondered as when will their greed end.Capt Amarinder pointed out, Mr Badal had inherited just 80 acres of land from his father and now he has thousands of crores worth assets including hotels and transport. “I want to ask Badal as what type of magic wand he has got that made him to earn billions of rupees from 80 acres of land, while the common farmers were committing suicide as they could not even make both ends meet”.Appealing people to be careful and cautious, he warned that Badal could play a mischief as whenever he felt his chair threatened he resorted to mischievous things pushing Punjab to the brink.Speaking on the occasion Gurkirat Kotli thanked Capt Amarinder for accepting his invitation to attend the rally. He said, it was a forgone conclusion that Capt Amarinder will be the next Chief Minister of Punjab and people were desperately wanting him to take over as otherwise Punjab was doomed.Among others present on the occasion included Ms Preneet Kaur, Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Bibi Harchand Kaur, Navtej Cheema, Karan Kaur Brar, Parminder Pinki, Tej Parkash, Sukh Sarkaria, Mohammad Sadiq and others.
