Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria attends Mother’s ‘Antim Ardas’

MOGA : Antim Ardas of Bhai Daya Singh Lahora’s mother Mata Isher Kaur was held at village Bhural (Baghapurana) on September 25. The event witnessed a large gathering in which Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria arrived amid tight Police security at 1 pm.
This was Bhai Lahora’s second consecutive parole in past 1 month. He was earlier given the permission by court to attend last rites of his mother under custodial parole of 2 hours.Sarbat Khalsa 2015 appointed Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal performed ‘Antim Ardas’ for Mata Isher Kaur Ji. Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Bhai Daya Singh Lahoria was honoured with ‘Dastaar’ sent by Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara.
Several prominent Sikh personalities, including S. Simranjit Singh Mann Jathedar (interim) Dhian Singh Mand, Jathedar Amrik Singh Ajnala, Karnail Singh Panjoli, Jasbir Singh Rode, Bibi Pritam Kaur, Advocate Amar Singh Chahal were present at the program to pay their tributes.
Interim Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand appealed the entire Sikh congregation to support the upcoming Sarbat Khalsa in November 2016 at Talwandi Sabo. Speaking after the bhog, S. Simranjit Singh Mann appealed to the Sikh congregation to bring a Panthik Government to power in Punjab during the 2017 elections. “If we are elected by the people, we will immediately release political Sikh prisoners including Bhai Daya Singh Lahora and Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara,” he said.
