Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara Pays Tribute to Shaheed Bhai Jashjit Singh Jammu

NEW DELHI, June 12, 2015 : Paying tribute to Bhai Jashjit Singh Jammu who was martyred by Indian security forces in Jammu, on behalf of all Sikh prisoners of Tihar Jail, Babbar Khalsa vice president Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara stated that the lone son of the parents made it evident that how Sikhs love their martyrs and this love could never fade away.Bhai Jasjit Singh was gunned down by the Police personnel when he was protesting against the Police over removal of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
The Sikh freedom fighter who is facing life imprisonment in case of assassination of the then chief minister Beant “Singh”, lauded Sikh Sangat of Jammu for their successful struggle for upholding respect of the martyrs. “Sikhs of other states particularly that of Punjab, should be inspired of the sacrifice by Bhai Jashjit Singh”, he said.Talking about anti-Sikh activities of Hindu terrorist outfit Shiv Sena, he said that celebrating day of June 1984 Ghallughara as victory day is a huge disrespect to the Sikh martyrs. However, he said, those persons who claim for working for peace, did not utter single word against these elements. Bhai Hawara referred to this as a matter of concern.
“These communal elements make derogatory remarks against Sikh Gurus, martyrs and other respectable personalities. Badal’s rule gives liberty to these elements for daring to do so,” he opined. Lastly, he appealed Sikhs across the world to pay tribute to Bhai Jashjit Singh by reciting Gurbani and doing Simran on the day of his Bhog ceremony.
