Darshan Deedar Yatra gets huge response in Chandigarh, Mohal

MOHALI : The Dharmik Darshan Deedar Yatra, a unique initiative of the Punjab Government & Siromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) for the darshans of relics of Gurus, reached at district SAS Nagar. Later the yatra moved through various places and thousands opf devotees felt blessed after having darshans of gurus relics. Later the yatra moved towards Chandigarh. During this a contingent of Punjab Police under the headship of DSP Rajpal Singh also gave a guard of honour to the Darshan Deedar Yatra. During this along with thousand of devotees Ex-Cabinet Minister S. Balwant Singh Ramuwalia, Chairperson District Planning Committee Bibi Amanjot kaur ramuwalia, Distyrict President (Urban) S. Joginder Singh Salaich, Jathebandak Secretary Amrik Singh Mohali, Chairman Market Kharar Jathedar Baljeet Singh Kumbhran, Councillor Gurmukh Singh Sohal, Manager Gurudwara Amb Sahib S. Joga Singh, Sh. Jatinder Pal Singh JP were also present. From District Administration Deputy Commissioner Sh. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu, SSP Sh. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, SP Sh. Harpal Singh Sandhu, SDM Sh. Lakhmeer Singh also have the darshans of gurus relics as a devotee and felt blessed. Before proceeding of yatra, Ardas was performed at gurudwara Amb Sahib and the yatra was led by Panj Piara’s. Before proceeding of yatra, Panj Piara’s were honoured with siropao by Deputy Commissioner Sh. Tejinder Pals Singh Sidhu, Ex-Cabinet Minister S. Balwant Singh Ramuwalia, Bibi Amanjot kaur ramuwalia, SGPC member Bibi Harjinder kaur. A lot of eagerness and excitement was seen among the devotees. The religious processions were having relics related to sixth Patshah Sri Guru Hargobind sahib, ninth patshah Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib and Tenth Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Thousand of devotees have darshans of rare relics including 46 inches long sword and 22 inch long whip related to Guru Hargobind Sahib, similarly there is a Siri Sahib related to Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Ji that has “Sat Sri Akal Guru Teg Bahadar” engraved on it. There are ten relics related to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ki. Amongst the swords exhibited one sword was gifted by Rai Kalha.
The relics also include Chola Sahib, manuscript, hair, comb and turban, 20 inches long iron arrow, three-and-a-half inch long Siri Sahib, 30 inches long wooden spear and five arrows. The Darshan Yatra having through various sectors of Chandigarh will take halt at Gurudwara Amb Sahib Mohali & then will proceed for next destination.
