DSGMC Elections: Jathedar Daduwal appeals Delhi based Sikh masses to defeat Badals

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—In a statement, Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal appealed to the Sikh masses in Delhi to give a crushing defeat to the Akali Dal (Badal) in the upcoming Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections.  Elections are scheduled to take place on February 27.“Just like people of Punjab have already given their verdict to the Akali Dal (Badal), Delhi Sikhs should also unite to oust them from our Gurdwaras in Delhi,” he said.  He appealed to various Sikh organization contesting the elections to only field one candidate from each constituency so Badal could be defeated. In a press note shared with Sikh24 earlier today, President of United Akali Dal Bhai Mohkam Singh also issued a similar appeal to the Delhi Sikhs.
Dubbing the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal as ‘Sauda Saadh Akali Dal’, Bhai Mohkam Singh has said that the Sikh masses should oust these looters of Guru’s golak from the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
Suggesting the DSGMC President Manjit Singh GK to quit Badal led Akali Dal, Bhai Mohkam Singh has said that Badals had denigrated the sanctity of sacred Sikh thrones and had worsened the management of historical Gurdwaras in an exemplary way.Akali Dal (Badal) is facing a strong opposition by Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh and Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala who have both united to defeat the Akali Dal in the upcoming elections.
