Chandigarh : Acting on the recommendations of the Justice Ranjit Singh (retd) Commission, the Punjab Police have included the names of four police personnel, including then Moga SSP Charanjit Singh, in the FIR registered in 2015 in the Behbal Kalan firing incident. The others are Bikramjit Singh (then Fazilka SP), Inspector Pardip Singh and Sub-Inspector Amarjit Singh. A case had been registered against unidentified cops on October 21, 2015, under Sections 302, 307 and 34 of the IPC and Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act at Bajakhana police station in Faridkot district after two persons had died in police firing during an anti-sacrilege protest.
