Footage shows vicious attack on 13-year-old at Walgett High School

Sydney :Alarming footage filmed at one of the most violent schools in NSW captured a vicious attack on a 13-year-old girl.
The video obtained by ABC News showed the violent escalation of months of bullying at Walgett’s only public high school in one of the state’s most disadvantaged communities.Walgett Community College had become a breeding ground for “violence and criminal behaviour”, with police attending almost daily, Fairfax Media revealed last month. According to documents obtained by the Herald, Walgett’s high school campus suffers from repeated student violence, low attendance and poor academic results. The shaky vision filmed by a student shows a group of girls brawling in what appears to be a classroom.

Footage of what appears to be a violent attack in a Walgett classroom. Leonie Simpson, the mother of the girl who was the target of the attack, said her daughter was left with bruising under her eye and a swollen nose.Ms Simpson told ABC News that a teacher was in the room during the fight.
“I got told the teacher was very scared and wasn’t allowed to put his hands on any student to stop anything, so he stood there frozen,” she said.
