“Gatha Udham Singh” penned by H.C.Arora released at martyrs ancestral home

SUNAM: Senior advocate of Punjab and Haryana High court H.C. Arora in association of RTI activist Jatinder Jain & many other social activist launched his poetic book “Gatha Udham Singh” on 75th martyrdom day of Saheed Udham Singh on 31st at his ancestral house on Friday. This is his fifth book on freedom fighters. He has authored Gathas of Martyr Bhagat Singh, Martyr Madan Lal Dhingra, Martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha, Martyr Kanshi Ram and Gadar Lehar, and now that of Martyr Udham Singh. He has authored an exclusive book of songs against drugs, captioned “Peedan Nashe Dian”. Another book exclusively meant for school children has also been authored by him with title “Tarian Dee Dunia”.
A number of literary personalities and RTI & Social workers of different part of Punjab were present on the occasion. Arora told that in this poetic book of “Gatha Udham Singh” he tried to elaborate historical points of childhood of Udham singh, Impact of Jaliyan wala Bhag’s incident, Stay at London, shot out of Mical O Odware, his capital punishment,to bring his ashes back to India after his sacrifice.
H. C. Arora is known in Punjab as PIL specialist, more than 200 PILs were filed by him by now. Beside this he has been working for freedom fighters of the state for long, and made his profession as weapon to fight for their rights and get them the deserve respect and preserve history.
He also succeeded in getting the ancestral house of martyr Sukhdev declared as a protected monument by the Punjab Government through one of his PILs. He also succeeded in forcing the Punjab Government to extend financial assistance for completion of the incomplete memorial of martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha.
Jatinder Jain, chairperson said, “sheed Udam Singh had uniqe status among te martyrs of freedom struggle and its good gesture that we can remember Sheed Udham singh by this poetry book of HC Arora. Many more RTI & Social activist including Kamal Anand, Dr. A. S. Mann, Kuldeep Singh Khaira speek on this occasion.
Recently Advocate Arora has published a book titled “Jang Jari Hae” which contains 55 poems/songs written by him. All these songs are targeted against social and administrative evils, and are meant for inspiring the youth of Punjab to fight against these evils. He has authored Gathas of Martyr Bhagat Singh, Martyr Madan Lal Dhingra, Martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha, Martyr Kanshi Ram and Gadar Lehar, and now that of Martyr Udham Singh. He has authored an exclusive book of songs against drugs, captioned “Peedan Nashe Dian”.
