Jagmeet Brar announced four major programmes ‘Talmel Bethak’ in the state

Jalandhar : After a show of strength at Chappar Chiri, expelled Congress leader Jagmeet Brar today announced four major programmes ‘Talmel Bethak’ in the state. The purpose of these programmes would be to discuss issues concerning Punjab and its residents on which, according to him, the ruling SAD-BJP and Congress were lacking.“At these events, our volunteers from various fields will discuss the farm crises, farmers’ suicides, law and order, unemployment, lack of sports and education policy and issues pertaining to the wrong BPL surveys conducted by the government. “Deliberations will not be confined to discussions, but our volunteers will also provide solutions to the same,” Brar said. These programmes will be held in Jalandhar, Bathinda, Amritsar and Saraba (Ludhiana) on June 5, June 20, July 15 and August 15.Replying to a query, he said: “I will not join the Congress even if Sonia Gandhi says so.” Recalling his tenure in the Congress, Brar said that he spent 37 years in the party at various positions, but the party did injustice to him. “When Captain Amarinder or Partap Bajwa spoke anything against the party leadership, they never faced action. But when I spoke, I was shunted out without explanation or warning,” he said.
