Jathedar Hawara Appeals Sikh Masses to Support Bargari Agitation

NEW DELHI—Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has appealed the Sikh masses to support the agitation begun by acting Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand at Bargari. Notably, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand is staging a sit-in-strike at Bargari since June 1 seeking arrest of thieves who stolen the holy corpus from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala on June 1, 2015 and the Police cops who martyred two Sikhs at Behbal Klan by opening unprovoked firing.Felicitating over the recent arrests of guilty Sirsa cult disciples, Bhai Hawara has directed Bhai Dhian Singh Mand to continue agitation till complete victory. He has further directed Takht Jathedars establish contact with the government only through messengers and not to go personally to meet government officials.
Appealing the Sikh masses to support Bargari agitation, Bhai Hawara has said that the agitation begun by Bhai Mand is not in the vested interests of a particular faction instead it’s in the interests of entire Sikh community.
