Kerala Police enter Bishop House 3 days after reaching Jalandhar

Jalandhar, August 13 : Three days after the Kerala Police team arrived in Jalandhar to interrogate into the alleged rape case lodged by a nun, the cops finally went inside the premises of Bishop House at 3.15 pm on Monday. The inquiry team led by Vaikom DSP K Subhash came accompanied by the Jalandhar Police. Ahead of the arrival of the team, the road leading to the Bishop House was barricaded from both sides.
Before the arrival of the Bishop, his lawyer Mandeep S Sachdev visited the Bishop House to discuss the case. Even though there have been speculations that he could be arrested, the lawyer said no anticipatory bail had been moved in the court.
“We don’t have any notice from the Kerala police, so we have not sought any bail,” he said.
In the day, the team interrogated two priests Father Antony and Jalandhar Diocese PRO Father Peter at Police Lines.
