Minor daughter of Congress leader’s staff in Haryana was sexually assaulted’

Yamunanagar, June 4 : The post-mortem on the body of the six-year-old daughter of an employee of Congress leader Nirmal Singh here shows that the girl was sexually assaulted.
A panel of three doctors conducted the post-mortem.
“The cause of death is multiple injuries, including in the neck and genital area,” said Dr Vijay Dahiya, medical superintendent of the local Civil Hospital. The post-mortem was conducted by Dr Param Shiv, Dr Arvind Chahal and Dr Nisha and the body was handed over to the family.
The case reminds one of the Surat incident of sexual assault and murder of a girl. The mutilated body of the 11-year-old girl with multiple injuries was found in April this year.
Father of the victim, Magan Singh, who belongs to Gumla district of Jharkhand, has been living along with his wife and two children at the leader’s farm for six years and working there as a labourer.
He said his daughter, who went missing at 1 pm on Saturday, was last seen playing near the farm. Her body was found in a pit in the nearby mining zone at 2 pm on Sunday.
A case has been registered against an unidentified person under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC and Section 6 of the POSCO Act at Khizrabad police station.
SHO Lajja Ram said three special teams of police had been formed to crack the case. “We have rounded up several people from the leader’s farms. We are hopeful that the accused will be arrested soon,” the SHO said.
