Mohinder Kaur cremated in Patiala

Patiala, July 25 : Mohinder Kaur, mother of Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who passed away after prolonged illness at her Moti Bagh Palace residence in Patiala on Monday evening,was cremated at Shahi Samadhan, the royal crematorium, on Tuesday afternoon. A procession with her body kept in a vehicle is due to reach Shahi Samadhan. Capt Amarinder Singh, his brother Raja Malwinder Singh and others are part of the procession. Earlier, royal families from Himachal, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir arrived at New Moti Bagh Palace here to attend the funeral of Mohinder Kaur, mother of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh. The Rajmata had passed away at 7 pm on Monday after a long illness.
The funeral procession started at 1 pm from New Moti Bagh Palace for Shahi Samadhan, the final resting place of the Patiala royals.
