Nihang Dals Receive Honour at Akal Takht Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB : SGPC appointed Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Gurbachan Singh, today honored various Nihang Dal chiefs. Chiefs of “Guru Kia Ladli Fauj” (beloved army of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) are honored every year at the Bandi Chhod Diwas (Diwali) at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
“Today, we recognize and honour the Nihang Dals for their current and historical contributions to the Panth. Nihang Dals are a prominent part of the Khalsa Panth and today we feel blessed to have all Nihang Chiefs present here to receive this honor from Akal Takht Sahib,” said Giani Gurbachan Singh.Nihang Dal chiefs who attend the custom included Baba Balbir Singh (Buddha Dal), Baba Avtar Singh (Baba Bidhi Chand Tarana Dal head of Sursingh), Baba Nihal Singh (Haria Vela Tarun Dal), Baba Nagar Singh, Baba Gajjan Singh, Giani Tarsem Singh Morwali, Baba Sarkhe Singh, Baba Raghbir Singh Khiala and others. Some of these Nihang chiefs had earlier attended Sarbat Khalsa 2015 gathering in which new Jathedars were recognized.
