Noida: Six naxals planning terror attack in Delhi-NCR arrested

Noida : Six naxals were arrested in Noida on Saturday night. The naxalites were apprehended from Hindon Vihar area, falling in sector-47 of Noida. According to News Nation report, the naxals were planning a terror attack in Delhi-NCR region. The confirmation of arrested has been made by Uttar Pradesh IG (ATS). Police seized large amount pistols, cartridges and gun powders from the flat where Naxals were staying. One among the detained naxals is reported to be a bomb expert.
In what appears to be a major success for the ATS, the former People’s Warrior Group (PWG) commander of Jharkhand Latehar district, Pradip Kumar Singh, has been arrested. He was among the six naxalites who were taken into custody. Pradip was reportedly hiding in Noida since the past one month. He was absconding since 2012.
Their arrest is expected to trigger more number of crackdowns in the near future. The presence of naxalites in Noida also points out that the left-wing extremists could possibly be planning terror attacks in the cities. Ever since the naxalite movement gained prominence in the tribal parts of the nation, the terror attack against the security forces have been executed only in the rural areas.
