Punab BJP workers silently support Navjot Sidhu’s decision to quit party

GURDASPUR : Many BJP leaders warmly welcomed the resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu from Rajya Sabha and BJP. While they are not ready to commnet openly but they are happy with the bold step taken by Sidhu to counter the dictatorial attitude of SAD leaders. The BJP leaders on the condition of annonimity said that SAD leaders were not giving due respect to BJP leaders and treated them as second class citizen. The BJP cadre in Punjab was keen to break up from SAD. The views of Navjot Kaur Sidhu that BJP must go alone in the 2017 assembly elections repersents the sentiment of common BJP workers.Gurdaspur BJP district president Ashok vaid openly declared that is SAD would give ticket to CPS Gurbachan Singh Babehali, Party would not support him. He alleged that SAD leaders does not follow alliance rules and behave like step mother treatment with BJP leaders. In parliament elections of Gurdaspur it was seen that SAD leaders only did lip service to BJP candidate Vinod Khanna and also branded him an outsider. SAD halqa Incharge Lakhbir singh Lodhinangal openly asked Khanna to go back to Bombay because you are not serious for elections. Khanna understood to be avoiding to come to Punjab due to arrogant behaviour of SAD leaders.Only on yesterday at a function of Baba Namdev Degree college in Ghuman BJP Punjab Chief Vijay Sampla and union Minister was humiliated by BJP by ignoring him. Punjab Government has not mentioned Sampla’s name on the cards and even no seat earmarked for him on the stage which irked the minister.Facing an embarrassment in such auspicious occasion and that in presence of Punjab Chirf Minister he refused to address the gathering. Many other incidents were already registered by the BJP top leaders like CPS Navjot Kaur Sidhu, former health minister Laxmi Kanta Chawla and many more. But with the resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu may create flutter in BJP and SAD if the couple join hands with Aam Aadmi Party.
