Punjab CM calls on Nek Chand’s family

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today called on the bereaved family of Nek Chand-the creator of Rock Garden in the city beautiful, to express condolences on his sad demise.
Sharing his heart felt sympathies with the bereaved family especially the deceased’s son Mr. Anuj Saini at his residence in Sector 27, the Chief Minister appreciated the outstanding contribution of Nek Chand in promoting art & culture through the creation of Rock Garden-the world class architectural marvel, which would ever immortalize him in the hearts of millions of his admirers. Mr. Badal said that Nek Chand’s pursuit of excellence was a blend of creativity, aesthetics, hard work and zeal to serve the society in his own humble way. On the occasion, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to the family members, friends and relatives to bear this huge loss in this hour of grief.
