Rahul Dravid does not want to work with Sourav Ganguly: Reports

New Delhi : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) elected the new advisory panel comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. Missing from the Fab Four was Rahul Dravid, who as per reports declined the offer. According to a BCCI source, the Karnataka batsman didn’t want clash of egos working with his former skipper and long-time teammate Ganguly. “It seems he (Dravid) isn’t comfortable working with Sourav. That’s why his name isn’t on the list,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times. “A cricketer like him wouldn’t want to be involved in a battle of egos,” the report further stated. While it is clear that Ganguly will not take over as the coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri has been appointed as the Director of Cricket for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh. The advisory panel will aid the selectors in selecting the new coach following the expiry of Duncan Fletcher’s contract. “Now that this committee has finally been formed, things could take a while,” a board official said.
