Relics of Sikh Gurus reach Balachaur

BALACHAUR: Outting an end to its keenly awaited arrival the Dharmik Darshan Yatra today arrived in district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and was given rousing welcome. A large number of devotees thronged Gurudwara Tibbi Sahib to have darshan of yatra carrying holy relics of Guru Sahiban. Under DSP Mr Rajpal Singh Hundal, the Punjab police contingent gave a spectacular salutation to yatra.
Welcoming the yatra were Sant Avtar Singh Tibbi Sahib Wale, education minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, CPS Chaudhary Nand Lal, district planning committee cgairman Dr Sukhwinder Kumar Mukhi, DC Mr Amar Pratap Singh Virk, SSP Mr Snehdeep Sharma, SGPC general secretary Mr Sukhdev Singh Bhaur, Deputy CM’s OSD Mr Charanjit Singh Brar, ADC Mr Apneet Riar, assistant commissioner Ms Geetika Singh, senior SAD leader Bibi Satinder Kaur Kariha and Jagteshwar Singh Majithia, center cooperative bank Patiala’s MD and Lok Sabha member Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra’s son Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra, former chairman Resham Singh Thiara, Jathedar Ram Singh Dudhalan, member SGPC Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa and Mahinder Singh Hussainpur were also present.
Speaking to the devotees CPS Ch Nand Lal said that the main aim of Dharmik Darshan yatra was to remind people of Punjab about the contribution of Guru Sahiban and the priceless lives they laid for us. He added that the yatra was carrying rare 46 inches long kirpan, 22 inches long whip, Siri Sahib, one sword, Chola Sahib, manuscript, hair, comb and turban, 20 inches long iron arrow, three-and-a-half inch long Siri Sahib, 30 inches long wooden spear and five arrows.
The historical initiative of SGPC and Punjab government, yatra was also given warm welcome at Railmajra, Taonsa, Fatehpur-Tajowal, Najra Jattan, PanialiKalan and Khurdm Jeowal abd Bachhua (old toll plaza), Kathgarh bus stand, Jalalpur, Mutton Jabbam Sudha Majra, Rakhran Bet, Kangana bridge and other places. On reaching from Kangana bridge to Balachaur city the yatra was given a welcome at Gurudwara Sahib Mehendipur. At Bachhua, Sant Jagtar Singh had put up langar for devotees.
SP Gagan Ajit Singh and Dilbagh Singh Pannu, SDM Balachaur Jagjit Singh, DSP Digvijay Kapil, tehsildar Amarjit Singh and Gurjinder Singh has made special arrangements for the yatra.
On its arrival in Balachaur area CPS Ch Nand Lal, Harjinderpal Singh Chandumajra, member SGOC Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, Jathedar Ram Singh Dudhalan, chairman market committee Tarlochan Singh Rakran, Jaspal Singh Jadli and others welcomed the yatra.
