Mumbai, May 7: Playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who posted insensitive tweets in support of Salman Khan has got himself into big trouble, it seems. The singer posted a series of tweets from his official account on Twitter, which enraged the media and public to a great extent. A Jaipur-based activist Suraj Soni, meanwhile, gave a written complaint to Jhotwara police station seeking an FIR against the singer for his comments.
“We have not registered any FIR so far and have kept the complaint for a probe,” Shiv Kumar Bharadwaj, SHO Jhotwara police station told PTI. “The complainant said that the singer has hurt sentiments of the people with his comments and legal action against him was necessary”. The nation waited in bated breath as the Salman Khan 2002 hit-and-run case verdict to be pronounced yesterday. Social networking sites were flooded with with innumerous discussions for and against mega star Salman Khan, after he was sentenced to five years jail imprisonment by the sessions court, Mumbai.From Karan Johar to Arjun Kapoor to Sonakshi Sinha to Rishi Kapoor, B-town celebs too were seen expressing their views on micro-blogging site Twitter in support of Khan. One among them was playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, whose insensitive tweets sparked anger and controversy. Abhijeet’s inflamatory tweets had been the talk of the town and enraged the audience and media. Later in the day, he apologised for the same but the singer has come under the scanner yet again as he posted a series of ridiculous tweets this morning in support of Salman.
