Sikh Student Federation Chief hails Bangladeshi govt for recoginsing Anand Marriage Act 1909

DHAKA, June 29 : All India Sikh Student Federation president Karnail Singh Peermohammed today welcomed the Bangladeshi government move to recognise the Sikh Anand Marriage Act 1909, which has only 5 sections.The AISSF president thanked the Bangladesh High Commissioner Sayed Muazzam Ali by writing a letter. He also appealed to the union government that they should also approve the Sikh Anand Marriage Act.He said that there were very few Sikhs in Bangladesh and their govt still recognised it . The Pakistan govt had already recognised it long ago but the place where most of the Sikhs residing is still not approving the Act.
