Amritsar, June 6: Police was maintaining strict vigil as tension mounted in the city where almost complete bandh was observed in response to the call given by the Dal Khalsa to commemorate the Operation Bluestar Remembrance Day. Earlier in the day, tributes were paid at Akal Takht to those who had died during army attack on the Golden Temple complex in June, 1984.The activists of Hindu Sangharash Sena also staged a dharna carrying banners calling for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra. They were also demanding compensation for all those who were killed by the militants.Police made arrests of Sikh and Hindu activists at several places in the city.
