Sukhbir Badal raised drug issue during Baba Banda Singh Bahadur function

NEW DELHI : Shiromani Akali Dal President and Punajb Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today raised the drug issue and warned the political rivals who are defaming Punjab. He also listed achievements of Punjab in a long speech in the presence of Prime Minister Narender Modi.The function to commemorate 300th martyrdom of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur is being held in Delhi.Sukhbir Badal said that Punjab had major contribution in freedon struggle, contributes 70 percent of food needs of India and also underlined the development done in the state. He said that earlier youth of the Punjab was branded terrorists and now being labled as drug addicts. He said that Akali Dal was capable of fighting against powers that are defaming Punjab. He said that Akali Dal is second oldest party of India after Congress.Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal who also addressed the function hailed the sacrifice of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
