Swann encourages England’s new ODI approach

London, June 20 : Former England off-spinner Graeme Swann is delighted with England’s new approach in one-day cricket and has encouraged the team to maintain their courageous approach and get rid of the fear of failure once for all.A revamped team, still captained by former Ireland batsman Eoin Morgan, who led them during the disastrous World Cup campaign, have changed their track in stunning fashion during their ongoing one-day series against New Zealand.England would be heading into today’ finale of a five-match series at Durham’s Chester-le-Street ground all square at 2-2 with the World Cup finalists.Swann, who was very critical of England’s approach during their World Cup, said that it was so refreshing because it was like they have held their hands up and said that ‘they all have got a point’, the Mirror reported. He said that everyone knew it was the most obvious thing in the world that they were playing an outmoded, outdated form of the game, but arrogance saw them stick to our guns.Swann opined that it would take courage to stick the courageous approach but they should take what New Zealand have done as a blueprint.
