Mumbai : Megastar Salman Khan, who has been accused of killing a homeless man 13 years ago due to drunk driving, will face 10 years imprisonment if convicted. The hearing for Salman’s case, now famous as hit-and-run case, will be held this week on May 6. The court is set to announce its verdict and on the eve of judgement day, fans as tense as Bhaijaan himself. Everyone in the film industry has their fingers crossed, as they hope nothing terrible happens to Salman. The actors two upcoming films, Bajrangi Bhaijaan opposite Kareena Kapoor and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo opposite Sonam Kapoor, are believed to be in the last stages of shooting.The Internet was flooded with pictures of the 49-year-old actor shooting in Kashmir for Bajrangi Bhaijaan and there is a lot of buzz about Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It is believed that Salman was supposed to do four big-budget films in 2015, including Dabangg 3 and No Entry Mein Entry.According to trade analyst Komal Nahata, an investment of Rs 200 crore is riding on Salman with his forthcoming projects. The superstar has delivered a string of box office successes in the last few years. The Dabanng actor is charged with killing one person and injuring four by ramming his SUV into a bakery in suburban Bandra 13 years ago. Salman pleaded not guilty, saying he was not driving the car at the time of the mishap and that his driver Ashok Singh was behind the wheel. This has been corroborated by Singh who appeared as defence witness.However, the prosecution led by Pradeep Gharat alleged that Salman was driving after consuming Bacardi rum in a bar. The actor, on the other hand, argued he was having a glass of water and not alcohol. While prosecution pleaded that there were three persons in the car — Salman, his police bodyguard Ravindra Patil and singer friend Kamal Khan — the actor argued that there was a fourth person and he was Ashok Singh.
