Will ‘khaki knickers’ decide who is Hindu: Raj Babbar

Mumbai, July 18 : Congress leader and former actor Raj Babbar on Friday lashed out at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) over their remarks on the FTII protestors, asking who gave the ‘khaki knickers’ the mandate to decide whether someone is ‘Hindu’ or ‘anti Hindu’.
“What can be more unfortunate than the RSS being the jury, the critic and taking decisions over who does what? Now the ‘khaki knickers’ will decide who does good work and who does not. Will these people decide if Bimal Roy, Gurudutt, K Asif, Mehboob Shahab, V Shantaram were Hindus or anti-Hindus? Will these half pants decide what our culture is,” Babbar told ANI.”Probably they need to be told who is a Hindu and who is not. I would like to ask Nagpur, which God has given them a mandate to decide who is a Hindu and who is not?…They want to end art and culture. They want to divide art, culture and humane mindset, and future generations will have to pay for it,” he added.
Babbar’s reaction came after an article published in RSS mouthpiece, Organiser, described those protesting against the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the Chairperson of the Pune-based FTII as ‘anti-Hindu’.
