Australian Red Cross Activates Register.Find.Reunite. to Support Those Affected by Northern NSW Severe Weather Event

The Australian Red Cross has launched its Register.Find.Reunite. service to help reconnect families and friends separated by the Northern NSW Severe Weather Event. Those impacted are urged to get in touch with their loved ones through this vital service.

“Being separated from family or friends during an emergency is one of the most stressful experiences anyone can face,” said Mark Ludbrooke from Australian Red Cross. “When communication lines are down, the uncertainty only adds to the distress. This service helps ease that by reuniting people during times of crisis.”

If you or someone you know has been affected, you can register or search for a loved one at redcross.org.au using any computer or mobile device.

Register.Find.Reunite. works by matching registrations from those in the disaster area with enquiries made by concerned family or friends. If a match is found and consent is given, the person making the enquiry will be notified.

By registering, you’re also informing emergency services of your wellbeing and any support you may require. This helps ensure a coordinated and effective response during emergencies.
