New Delhi, June 17 — Tesla has strengthened its footprint in India by opening its fifth Experience Centre, located in Hyderabad’s HITEC City. The centre showcases the new 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Model Y L, allowing customers to explore the vehicles through guided walkarounds and interactive sessions with Tesla Advisors.
The company has also begun delivery and after-sales support operations in the Bollaram Industrial Area, aimed at serving customers across Telangana more efficiently.
According to Tesla, the experience centre is designed to help visitors understand the brand’s design philosophy, advanced electric vehicle technology, safety systems, and performance capabilities in an engaging environment.
Both models are available for order through Tesla’s official website. Customers placing orders before June 30, 2026, will receive a complimentary Wall Connector as part of a limited-time offer.
Tesla has also expanded home charging support across India, aiming to enhance convenience for EV owners and promote sustainable mobility.
The company highlighted that both the Model Y variants have secured top safety ratings from global agencies including NHTSA and IIHS (US), Euro NCAP (Europe), ANCAP (Australia and New Zealand), and C-IASI (China).
The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive offers 2,138 litres of storage, seating for five, power-folding seats, and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, with a WLTP range of up to 500 km.
It is priced at ₹50,89,000 in India, with a down payment starting at ₹6 lakh and EMIs from ₹39,990. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2026.
The Model Y L, an all-wheel-drive SUV positioned as a family-focused vehicle, offers a WLTP range of up to 681 km, 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 5 seconds, and up to 2,539 litres of cargo space.
