Virat Kohli snubs comparison with captain MS Dhoni, vows to remain ‘aggressive’!

Mumbai : It is no secret that Indian cricketer and Test captain Virat Kohli does not fear speaking his mind and he was at his candid best during an interview done by ESPNCricinfo. The 26-year-old who has earned himself the tag of batting machine for his ominous display on field against the best of bowling attacks has also come under scanner frequently for his over-aggression and short-tempered behavior. His aggressive personality is noted more thanks to his predecessor in Test cricket and current One Day Internationals (ODIs) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s calm and collective personality. But not to be bogged down by such comparisons, Kohli clearly mentioned about himself being a ‘different personality’. During the interview, answering one of the questions, Kohli said, “Why make comparisons? I am a different character. I am a different personality.” He finds comparing two individuals and their styles funny. New Test captain Virat Kohli also laid out his ambitious vision for the Indian team, saying he wants to create a side which can dominate world cricket for the next five years at least. Kohli, who was handed the Test captaincy after Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired following the third Test of the four-match series against Australia in January, said he wants to create strong friendship in the team. Virat Kohli chalked out his plans for the Indian cricket team for the next five years and he also seemed quite confident over achieving the same. After taking over the reigns from Dhoni, Kohli has looked a determined captain who is every bit prepared to shoulder the responsibility. ”I strongly want to see the Indian team dominate for at least five or six years,” Kohli told ESPNcricinfo’s digital magazine in an interview which will be published on Wednesday on the Cricket Monthly site. ”We certainly have the talent. We certainly have the ability. All that it will take is how you manage that and keep them together,” he added.
