Bengaluru-Chennai Mail’s coaches derail; passengers safe

Chennai, June 17: Two coaches of Bengaluru-Chennai Mail derailed near Basin Bridge at 4: 25AM on Wednesday. The first and second AC compartments of the trail derailed. Passengers are safe and no causalities were reported. Several train services in Chennai Central Railway Station were affected following the accident.
Railway officials reached the spot immediately after the incident and shifted the passengers. Later the derailed coaches were placed back on track. Suburban train services were also hit after the accident. Following the latency in transportation many commuters took to auto services in the city.
