Addressing the media in Amritsar today, Bhai Baldeep, who is contesting the bypoll as an independent candidate, said Khadoor Sahib had an extraordinary association with Guru Nanak’s ideology as the Guru had chosen Bhai Lehna of Khadoor Sahib village as his successor instead of his two illustrious sons Baba Sri Chand and Baba Lakhmi Chand. He said the Akali Dal leaders had not bothered to learn this simple lesson and were instead promoting their family members. “So is the case with Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, son of sitting MP of Khadoor Sahib Ranjit Singh Brahmpura,” he said.He alleged all Akali leaders were projecting their near and dear ones to secure plum posts in the government.
