Canadian minister Sajjan visits Jalandhar girls’ orphanage

Jalandhar : Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan on Thursday visited a girls’ orphanage here.
Unique Home is an orphanage where 60 abandoned girls are being taken care of by ‘mother’ Parkash Kaur. It was started 24 years ago. Girls here are provided best opportunities for education.
Sajjan also played football with the kids.
Lucy, a 24-year-old inmate, who is an MA in English, delivered a speech that impressed Sajjan, who awarded her a medal.
Sajjan addressed the audience in Punjabi and English saying the Waheguru had given him a chance to visit this place. He lauded the efforts of Parkash Kaur.
