Dhian Singh Mand Jatehdar Akal Takhat appointed by Sarbat Khalsa pays obeisance at Akal Takhat

AMRITSAR : Jatehdars of different Sikh religious Takhats including acting Jatehdar Akal Takhat (highest Sikh temporal seat) Amritsar Dhian Singh Mand who were appointed on religious seat during the Sarbat Khasla last year on November 10th, today paid obeisance at Akal Takaht amidst heavy security umbrella.The moment controversial acting Jathedar Akal Takhat Dhian Singh Mand, Jatehdar Takhat Kesgarh Sahib Amrik Singh Ajnala, Jathedar Takhat Damdama Sahib Baljit Singh Daduwal touched the threshold of the boundary of Amritsar city just ten kilometers from Golden Temple were given heavy cavalcade of police Escort and Pilot vehicles upto Golden Temple.When they reached Golden Temple were also escorted by the heavy task force of SGPC, provided special VVIP Route to reach sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple to pay obeisance and similar treatment were given when they reached Akal Takhat to pay obeisance,Talking to media Mand said about the heavy security force outside the Golden Temple and similar behavior of SGPC task force said that Administration and SGPC were scared of their visit .Adding further Mand said that he was not happy with the security cover inside and outside the Golden Temple, since it has created hurdles to pay obeisance besides hurting his sentiments. Mand said police and SGPC were scared that today a separate Akal Takhat Secretariat may be set up by us whereas we didn’t have any plan yet but later in the future separate Secretariat of Akal Takhat to be setup in Amritsar.Mand said, “The moment we were cordoned off by the heavy police forces, felt that police will not allow us to reach Golden Temple or could be arrested”.
