Haryana Gurdwara Delegation Meets with Chief Minister to Discuss Pending Supreme Court case

CHANDIGARH, Punjab (May 19, 2015)—Led by Jagdish Singh Jhinda, a 5-member delegation of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) (ad-hoc) met Haryana Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday to take up the issue of the setting of the HSGMC.The HSGMC members demanded the issue be resolved by pursuing related petition pending in Supreme Court. The petition challenges the setting up of 41-member HSGMC by previous Hooda government. They urged Khattar to ensure early ruling by Supreme Court in the case.The delegation also included HSGMC vice-president Didar Singh Nalwi, Joga Singh and Mohanjit Singh.Mohanjit Singh told that they saw sympathy in attitude of Khattar who said that he is sympathiser to Sikhs of the state and what would be the decision of the apex court, would be accepted to them.
