Mann suspended from LS till Dec 16

New Delhi : Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann was today suspended from the Lok Sabha for the remainder of the winter session for posting live on social media the security details of Parliament. The Lok Sabha adopted a resolution moved by BJP MP Kirit Somaiya, who headed a probe panel that recommended Mann’s suspension for the remaining period of the current session, which concludes on December 16.
The panel, which submitted its report to Speaker Sumitra Mahajan yesterday, had concluded that Mann was in breach of norms of conduct.
Somaiya, while moving the resolution, said Mann’s conduct was “highly objectionable” and “unbecoming” of a Member of the House.
