Rupinder and Jaswinder, the Bargari brothers arrested for sacrilege released from jail

CHANDIGARH: The two brothers Jaswinder Singh and Rupinder Singh residents of village Bargari arrested by Punjab Police for sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib are released tonight following the court orders issued late in the evening. The Punjab Police has told the court that the both accused brothers are no more wanted by them. The police had charged the two brothers for sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and named them main accused in the case. However Punjab Police failed to probe the allegations that they had foreign links and they were part of the international conspiracy to distabilise the Badal Government. Sukhbir Badal Deputy Chief Minister had blamed the foreign Sikhs for conspiracy. However, on the basis of report filed by Punjab Police that they are not able to probe the matter, the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had yesterday ordered CBI probe into the incidents of sacrilege. It is recalled that Sikh organisations particularly radical Sikh bodieas are holding state wide protest to seek release of two brothers and demanding registration of FIR against police officers responsible for firing on peaceful Siklh protesters in Kotkapura.
