Sikh right group would Submit Dossier “Burning Punjab”

WASHINGTON DC: The US based advocacy group “Sikh For Justice” (SFJ) have announced it will submit a dossier with the administrations of the United States, Canada and European Union of the recent grave rights violations and continuous threats to the Sikhs of Punjab for any dissent with the ruling class. The dossier titled “Burning Punjab” will have accounts of slapping of frivolous sedition cases and continuous illegal detention of Sikh political and religious activists.
SFJ has launched a social media campaign and blitz of TV commercials requesting members of the community to come forward without fear from ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) – BJP regime and report incidents of religious intolerance and anti-sikh violence to complete the dossier “Burning Punjab” which will be submitted to Western Countries in December.“The voices of dissent are being crushed by force, Rights group is seeking Western countries intervention and support for “Referendum” in the State of Punjab to give people a right to vote on the issue of independence as the only solution to the ongoing victimization of the Sikh community” attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal advisor to SFJ.SFJ is planning a series of global events – legal, diplomatic and social will be launched to muster support of the international community for the Sikh cause and its right to self-determination.
