Sukhbir Badal insulted the whole Punjabi NRI community by branding them terrorists

CHANDIGARH : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national General Secretary Sanjay Singh and senior leader Kanwar Sandhu today strongly condemned the remarks of Deputy Chief Minister and SAD president Sukhbir Badal, branding the whole Punjabi community ‘terrorists’ and blaming AAP for getting funds from radicals.
Addressing Punjabi NRIs who arrived from Canada to campaign for AAP, here in Chandigarh Press Club Sanjay Singh said that Sukhbir Badal had lost his mental balance and his utterances against NRIs supporting AAP are unwarranted and great insult of Punjabi NRIs. He said that NRIs in Canada had extended moral and financial support to AAP in hope to see a prosper Punjab. He said that Sukhbir Badal had blamed that AAP was getting funds from terrorists.
Sanjay Singh said that AAP would win over 100 seats and both Badal father and son would be defeated from Lambi and Jalalabad with huge margins. He said that Capt Amarinder Singh was befooling people of Punjab who has gone to contest from Lambi to support Parkash Singh Badal. “If Capt Amarinder is so confident to defeat Badal, why he is contesting from two seats. Let him choose only Lambi”?, said Sanjay Singh.
Kanwar Sandhu who accompanied Sanjay Singh to welcome the NRIs said that remarks of Sukhbir Badal were below dignity and signs of frustration in the SAD. He said that NRIs wanted to see People of Punjab as prosperous as they are in foreign countries. He said that NRIs had achieved their goals in foreign countries due to best governance practices and their hard work. How can they even think of becoming terrorists”, said Kanwar Sandhu.
Kanwar Sandhu said that people of Punjab would give befitting reply to Badal family for humiliating the NRI community. He said that they are the backbone of the Punjab’s economy and equal partner in development of their mother land. He also thanked NRIs for their unconditional support.Jaskirat Mann from Canada who is driving force behind mobilization of NRIs to throng Punjab said that NRIs were deeply hurt with the comments of Sukhbir Badal. She said that SAD leaders who went to USA and Canada last year were hounded by Punjabi community for ruining Punjab with drugs and mafia culture. Jagtar Singh Sanghera head of NRI cell of AAP also flayed Sukhbir Badal for calling NRIs terrorists and radicals. He said that NRIs had supported SAD in 2007 and also funded their election campaigns with the hope that Akalis would give good governance. Badal family thought Punjab was their colony and worked only to promote their family businesses. He said that SAD leaders became drug sellers and joined the drug mafia. He said that NRIs would go door to door to expose the misdeeds of Akali Dal government.
