Why anti-women crimes have Akali/Badal connection? Capt Amarinder asks Badal

Chandigarh, May 1: Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh today asked the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal as why most of the crimes committed against women in Punjab in the recent past had an Akali/Badal connection in one way or the other.
“This is bound to happen when the rulers are driven more by vested interests than public good”, he observed in a statement issued here today.
Citing three incidents of the jumping off the running bus by a mother and her daughter in Moga, abduction of a minor girl from Faridkot and the killing of an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police in Amritsar, he pointed out all these had a Badal or an Akali connection.
The former Chief Minister said, the bus in which the mother-daughter duo was molested that forced them to jump off leading to death of the daughter, is operated by the Orbit Transport Company owned by the Badal family. “Had the bus been owned by anyone else, the police would have charged and arrested the owner by now”, he pointed out.
