Mumbai : If you have been tired of listening to seemingly funny statements like ‘Jonty Rhodes is the Father of Nation’ and dunno what it means, then Amul’s new advertisement will explain to you what it means. Ever since former South Africa cricketer and current Mumbai Indians fielding coach Jonty Rhodes announced the name of his newborn girl as India, jokes on the baby’s name have gone viral. Rhodes’ wife Melanie delivered a baby girl on April 23 in Mumbai, and the couple named the baby India Jeanne Rhodes.
Amul has come up with a brilliant topical on the same. The dairy products giants in its new advertisement displays the Rhodes family as Indiawaale – a take on Shah Rukh Khan’s 2014 movie Happy New Year which was promoted with the ‘Indiawaale’ tagline. Amul in an attractive creative, something that always makes the company stand out from the rest, shows the happy Rhodes couple with the little India. The tagline, which is equally attractive, reads, ‘Kehte Hain Inhe Pyar Se Indiawaale’. It is again taken from the Indiawaale song from SRK’s Happy New Year. The legendary South African fielder who enjoys massive fan-following in India gave his fans a pleasant surprise by naming his daughter on the name of the country. The 45-year-old cricketer explained the reason behind naming his child after his ‘second-home’. ”I have spent a lot of time here. What I love about India is that it’s a rich mix of culture, heritage and tradition. It is a very spiritual country; very forward-thinking nation. I really like that combination. You have to have a good balance of life.”
