Sangrur : Two men were killed and five others were injured in firing at Tapa in Barnala district on Friday over the possession of a dera.According to sources, one group wanted the possession of Dera Parmanand by unseating the other and allegedly opened the fire on the members of the other group.
The deceased men belonged to the group which is in possession of the dera. They have been identified as Lakshmi Narayan and Gulab Ram. Of the five injured, two are serious, and have been referred to a Ludhiana hospital.
