Punjab AAP leader Chhotepur visits Kanshi Ram family, holds closed door meeting with Sant Ajit Singh

ROPAR: Sucha Singh Chhotepur convener of AAP Punjab unit today held closed door meeting with rebel SAD leader, former MLA Sant Ajit Singh at Anandpur Sahib and also met Swaran kaur sister of BSP founder Kanshi Ram at Bunga Sahib.The meetins of Chhotepur with Sant Ajit Singh and sister of Kanshi Ram are considered politically significant. Sant Ajit Singh who also once headed parliamentary board of SAD is influential leader in this area. He was sidelined by SAD to accomodate Education minister Daljit Singh Cheema who was given party ticket from Ropar by ignoring Sant Ajit Singh.Chhotepur said that his meetings with Sant Ajit Singh and Swaran Kaur were not political but for personal reasons. He said that he had worked with Kanshi Ram and knew his family personally. He said that he had come to visit Kanshi Ram Charitable foundation being run by sister of Kanshi Ram. He said that Kanshi Ram had made major contribution to uplift the dalits. He demanded Bharat Ratna for Kanshi Ram and also said that if AAP forms government at center, it would bestow Bharat Ratna on founder of BSP.Chhotepur said that Prime Minister Narender Modi had failed on all fronts. He said that Modi was carrying personal vendetta against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He alleged that Modi was behind strike by MCD safai Karamcharis and wanted to put the blame on Delhi government. He said that it was unfortunate that Modi had made defeat of BJP in Delhi a personal issue.AAP leader further said that Punjab Government led by Parkash Singh Badal was indulging in all corrupt practices and capturing all businesses like transport, liquor, health and cable network. He siad that drug and sand mafias were operating in state with impunity. He stated that Congress party had lost its track and PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh is a spent force. He asserted that AAP would form the next government in Punjab. Chhotepur was accompnied by Lakhvir Singh Secretary of Kanshi Ram Foundation, Advocate Inderjit Singh and AAP leader Sachin Jagota.
