CHANDIGARH : Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Ravinder Singh Brahmpura has won the by-election of Khadoor Sahib assembly constituency, polling for which was held on February 13. The seat was vacated by Ramanjit Singh Sikki of Congress party.According to final results, Brahmpura has won by margin of over 65664 votes. He was polled 83080 votes. He was contesting against five independent and one BSP candidate. The main opposition parties Congress and AAP didnt contest the election.Bhupinder Singh a rebel Congress leader who contested as an independent has got about 17416 votes. All other candidates have lost their deposits. Sumail Singh Sidhu supported by Yogender Yadav has got only 2243 votes while 2252 voters used option of NOTA.
