Kejriwal to pay tributes to Kashi Ram at his birth place tomorrow

ROPAR : The AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would visit birth place of BSP founder late Kashi Ram tomorrow. The residents of village Pirthipur Bunga, 25 kms from here on Ropar-Anandpur Sahib road, the maternal village of Kashi Ram where he was born are waiting eagerly for the visit of AAP leader.Kejriwal would reach the vilalge at 10.30 directly from Chandigarh where he will arrive by air at 9.30 AM. He would pay tributes to Kashi Ram and address a rally being organised on the occasion by Kaashi Ram charitable Foundation headed by Swaran Kaur elder sister of BSP founder.
The visit of Kejriwal is significant in wake of Punjab elections in 2017 and large concentration of dalit votes in this belt. At the same time the BSP President Maya wati would address the dalit rally at Nawanshehar, 30 kms from the venue of Kejriwal’s rally. Lakhbir Singh advocate, the secretary of Kanshi Ram Charitable foundation said that villagers would welcome Kejriwal with open arms since he is coming to pay tributes to Kashi Ram who is responsible for bringing awareness among dalits. He said that Mayawati has ignored the family of Kashi Ram. Delhi Chief Minister will visit Anandpur Sahib later where he will pay obeisance at Takht Kesgarh Sahib. He will leave for Jalandhar in the evening.
