Schools in Punjab switch to summer timings

CHANDIGARH : The Education Department has notified the new time in all Government, Aided and Recognized schools in the state that would be applicable from 1st April, 2016.According to an official spokesman, new timings of all Primary, Middle, High and Senior Secondary Schools would be 8 am to 2 pm. Instructions in this regard have been issued to all Schools and Offices of education department for strict compliance.
